Egypt tours, and how to pick one

The Egypt tours on this page all run the same handful of places in a different order. Cairo and Giza. Luxor and the West Bank. Aswan, and the stretch of river between. What changes is how many days you give each one, and whether you sleep on a boat or in a hotel.

Start with length. Five days means Cairo and a fast look at the south. Eight is the shape most trips take. Ten adds Abu Simbel and a slower Aswan. Fourteen opens up the Red Sea, the White Desert or Siwa.

Then pick a style. A Nile cruise means unpacking once and stepping off at temples that sit on the bank. A land tour means better rooms and your own timetable. Neither is the right answer for everyone, and the comparison pages spell out the trade.
