Egypt in July is the hottest stretch of the year alongside August, and the honest advice for the temples is: don't, unless you have a specific reason and a tolerance for extreme heat.

Cairo is marginally more bearable than Upper Egypt, and the Grand Egyptian Museum is air-conditioned, so a city-only trip is viable.

The Red Sea works throughout, and this is when European charter traffic to Hurghada picks up despite the inland heat.
